Fastbraces Can Change Smiles In Months, Not Years

Smile Makeover | Overmeyer Family Dental | Orlando, FL

You’re ready. You’ve been thinking about it for months, maybe even years.

But now you are going to do something about your smile.

You are going to find out what Fastbraces® can do.

If you’ve never heard of Fastbraces, they are one of the orthodontic services we offer at our dentist office in Orlando, FL. And Fastbraces truly are “fast braces.” If you are looking for a way to get your new smile in less time, this could be the perfect solution for you.

The best way to find out if this treatment is right for you and your smile is to visit with one of our doctors at Overmeyer Family Dental. You can contact us online or call (407) 871-3143 to request an appointment.

How Fast Are Fastbraces?

It’s pretty common for patients to wear traditional braces for two years or longer. By comparison, you could complete your treatment with Fastbraces in as little as four months!

That won’t happen for every patient, but you could cut your treatment time by half or more because of the innovative technology used in Fastbraces.

To understand how Fastbraces can do what they do, first you need to understand the basics of how traditional braces work.

Braces have metal or ceramic brackets that are square or rectangular in shape. When an archwire is attached to these brackets, your teeth will start moving gradually.

During the first phase of treatment (which can take about a year), the crowns of your teeth are repositioned. In the second phase (which also takes about a year), the roots of your teeth are realigned to make your teeth as straight as possible.

The end result is generally a nice-looking, straight smile with evenly-spaced teeth.

With Fastbraces, you can get those same results only in a much shorter amount of time.

It starts with triangular brackets. The shape of Fastbraces’ brackets was developed to move teeth more efficiently than traditional braces. This design allows us to move the crowns and roots of your teeth at the same time. That alone would reduce your treatment time significantly.

But that’s not all that Fastbraces have to offer. When combined with an advanced archwire, your teeth can move even faster.

Would your rather have your new smile in 12 months or less or two years or more? If you want to see your new smile sooner, Fastbraces is the way to go.

Shorter Treatment Means Fewer Trips To The Dentist

We love seeing our patients, but we realize you would probably prefer spending time with your family and friends instead of sitting in a dentist’s chair.

Fastbraces helps with that, too. Since the treatment time is shorter, you won’t have to make nearly as many dental visits to track your progress and to make adjustments.

When you complete any orthodontic treatment, you will need to wear a retainer. This is the final stage, which helps to keep your teeth where you want them to be. The good news is that with Fastbraces, you may only have to wear that retainer for 15 to 20 minutes per day until your post-treatment is over.

Other Orthodontic Options

In addition to Fastbraces, we offer two other orthodontic options that you might want to consider.

Invisalign® is a great choice for patients with mild or moderate alignment issues. Unlike other orthodontic treatments, Invisalign uses clear plastic aligners rather than brackets and wires to move teeth.

For patients who are self-conscious about wearing brackets on their teeth, Invisalign is a discreet alternative.

For patients who are primarily focused on changing the appearance of their smiles, Six Month Smiles is an option. This would be considered primarily a cosmetic orthodontic treatment. Six Month Smiles works by moving only the front teeth, which are the most visible when you smile.
